• Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result;
• Doctors unfamiliar with this type of injury must reference a knowledgeable medical source.
Hydraulic hoses
Check hydraulic hoses regularly. Immediately replace damaged and leaking hydraulic hoses. Normally
hydraulic hoses have a long working life. The working life will be reduced by:
• Normal aging;
• Weather influences;
• Use under heavy conditions.
1.3.9 Service cooling system correctly
Explosive release of fluids from pressurized
cooling systems can cause serious burns.
Turn the engine off. Remove the filler cap only
when the filler cap is cool enough to touch with
bare hands. Slowly loosen the filler cap to first
stop to release any pressure before removing the
cap completely.

1.3.10 Remove paint before welding or heating
Avoid potentially toxic fumes and or dust.
Dangerous fumes are generated when paint
becomes heated by welding, soldering, or using a
torch.
Always remove paint before welding or heating.
Wear an approved respirator to sand or grind paint,
avoid breathing dust.
If using solvent and or paint stripper, remove
stripper with soap and water before welding.
Remove solvent, paint stripper containers, or other
flammable material from area. Let fumes disperse
before welding or heating.
Always work outside or in a well ventilated area.
Dispose of paint and solvent correctly.

1.3.11 Mobile radio installations
Never mount a mobile radio antenna to the rear of cab. Never route an antenna cable near harness or
electrical system controllers or near operator controls. Failure to follow precautions will expose operator to
