12.2. Configuration with the help of PC-programs
In order to adjust all functions of the evaluation unit with regard to the user’s criteria, a PC program
has to be used. The parameters listed in the software manuals may be adjusted to the ambience
conditions irrespective of the program selected. For further information regarding programming,
please refer to the appropriate manuals.
Since all evaluation units have the preset bus address “1”, but each bus participant in a network
system has to have a different number, all others except one have to get a new address. This can
be done in two different ways:
•
Programming prior to initiation of network with the help of ID SWZVS .
•
Programming by the master computer during initiation, when the bus coupling of each evalua-
tion unit takes place successively and bus-address numbering is done in descending order.
After the bus address has been distributed, each further configuration may be carried out with the
master computer.
12.3. Polarity check of the induction loops of the OBID
-ground antenna
Check the correct polarity of the two induction loops by holding a transponder in the middle, 50 cm
above the two loops, with its longitudinal axis in the direction of motion. Now, the green "TAG"
LED will light up. If it doesn’t, the polarity of one of the two loop connections has to be turned
around. As soon as the pole reversal of one loop has completed, press the reset key and check, if
the loop will be aligned now. If this is the case, check loop polarity once again acc. to the above
mentioned procedure. If the „Tag“-LED lights up when the transponder is in the indicated position
above the loops, the evaluation station is ready to receive.
