PosiDRIVE Security Gate

Adding, Removing, or Replacing the Mainsprings

The PosiDRIVE Security Gate is equipped with two or more mainsprings that provide
the necessary tension to operate the gate arm. The required number of mainsprings
depends upon the length of the gate arm. The following table lists the number of
mainspring required for each available gate arm length:

The mainsprings are installed at the factory. However, this procedure is provided in case
you need to add, remove, or replace a mainspring.

To install the mainsprings:

1.

Open the gate enclosure and remove the enclosure cap. See “Removing the
Enclosure Cap” on page 16.

2.

If the gate arm is installed, the arm

must

be raised to up position. See “Locking,

Unlocking, and Advancing the Gate Arm” on page 49.

• Two people are required to add, remove, or replace a mainspring:

one to hold the gate arm in the up position and the other to handle
