4.7  Proximity switches, B08 and B38

B08 Proximity switch for travel lever “0” position

B38 Proximity switch for vibration lock

The working principle is based on the principle of the dampened

LC-oscillator. The coil of the oscillation circuit forms a high-fre-

quency magnetic stray field.

This stray field leaks out from the active area of the proximity

switch. If metal or non-ferrous metal enters into the response

range, energy is absorbed. The oscillator is thus dampened and

the resulting change in current consumption is evaluated.
