8.8  As required

8.8.1  Air filter maintenance

If the engine loses power or running characteristics get

worse, check the air filter and replace it if necessary.

NOTICE!
Danger of engine damage!

–

Do not start the engine after having removed the

air filter.

–

Do not let dirt drop into the air duct.

–

Do not continue to use a damaged or soiled air

filter element. If in doubt use a new air filter.

–

Replace the air filter after half a year or 300 oper-

ating hours at the latest.

Park the machine in secured condition

Disassemble the left engine guard.

3.

Unscrew fastening screws (4) and remove air filter cover (3).

4.

Remove the foam rubber insert (2) from the air filter cover.

5.

Take the paper insert (1) out of the housing.

6.

NOTICE!
Danger of engine damage!

–

Ensure that no dirt falls into the air intake

channel.

Wipe the inside of the air filter housing only with a clean

cloth.

7.

Replace damaged or soiled paper insert.
