Setting the volume prior to and after a measurement process:
If you wish to adjust the headphone volume prior to or after a measurement, please navigate in the
measurement indication window to the symbol for the headphone volume (1), activate the symbol, and
confirm your selection. The window offering headphone volume adjustment will open up now, and the
volume can be adjusted on a scale ranging from 0 to 100 %. This scale indicates the current volume level
for the headphones. The volume can be changed either by turning the dial or by drawing the scale bar with
a finger on the touch screen to the requested volume level. If you wish to leave the window without changing the
volume, please press the “Cancel” key. If you wish to confirm your adjustment, please press the dial or tap
again on the volume icon.
Changing the volume does not affect the measurement curve, and the current measurement series
will not be deleted by the change in volume.
Adjusting the volume during a measurement procedure:
The volume can be adjusted anytime during a measurement process by turning the dial clockwise (reduced
volume) or anti-clockwise (increased volume).
8.2 Measurement modes
8.2.1. Mode description
Smart mode
The Smart mode offers a dual-bar display (noise level and Smart indicator) for the exact
determination of the leakage spot. The Smart indicator is based on sophisticated calculation and
analysis procedures taking the frequency, the noise level, and the evaluation into account.
This algorithm is well-proven in the field, in particular in a noisy measurement environment in combination
with a low-noise leakage.
Volume mode
The leakage-borne noise is displayed as a certain volume level (amplitude). The spot showing the highest
level corresponds to the leakage spot.
The measurement mode symbol (1) in the measurement indication window shows the mode currently
set. Pressing the dial (3) calls the requested measurement mode:
