In this activity, you will set up the scanner.
Follow these steps:
1. Set up the tripod.
A. Extend the legs of the tripod.
B. Lock the leg angle clips.
C. Ensure that the tripod is stable.
2. Remove the scanner from the transport case.
3. If necessary, install the tribrach adapter on the bottom of
the scanner.
A. Lay the scanner or transport cover (containing the
scanner) on its side on a flat, stable surface.
B. Install the scanner mounting ring.
I. Align the scanner mounting ring on the bottom
of the scanner mount so that the four screw
holes are aligned with the four threaded holes
on the bottom of the scanner. Make sure
that the set screw is on the front side of the
scanner, opposite of the power inlet.
II. Insert the four screws and tighten with the
included hex wrench; do not over-tighten.
C. Install the tripod mounting ring and rod onto the
tripod.
I. Remove the 5/8-inch screw from the tripod.
II. Place the tripod mounting ring and rod on the
tripod.
