GENERAL INFORMATION
Pre - Operation Checklist
Before operating the equipment for the first time and
each time thereafter, check the following items:
1. Lubricate the equipment per the schedule outlined
in the Maintenance Section .
2. Check the equipment for damaged or loose
components and hardware. Replace damaged
components (if required) and tighten all hardware
before operating the equipment (see SERVICE
SCHEDULE on page 95).
3. Check that tires are inflated to 317 kpa (46 psi).
4. Check wheel bolt torque.
5. Fully clean the equipment.
6. Inspect all electrical connections to ensure proper
function of the machine.
7. Inspect all safety reflective decals, slow moving
vehicle decals and lights.
8. Check condition of all hydraulic components for
leaks. Repair as required.
NOTE: Do not operate with hydraulic leaks.
9. Verify that the equipment is properly connected to
the tractor with the safety chain.
MOVING PART HAZARD
To prevent serious injury or death from moving parts:
•
Clear area of all bystanders before starting or
moving the tractor and equipment.
• Keep hands, feet, hair and clothing away from
moving parts.
• Disconnect and lockout power source before
adjusting or servicing.
• Do not stand or climb on machine when operating.
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Wear safety glasses to prevent eye injury when any
of the following conditions exist:
•
When fluids are under pressure.
• Flying debris or loose material is present.
• Engine is running.
• Tools are being used.
Leaking fluids under pressure can enter the skin and
cause serious injury or death. Immediate medical
attention is required. Wear goggles. Use cardboard to
check for leaks.
