Assembly - Backsaver Auger 12112 / 12122

Install two straps (Item 1)

around the

hopper drive tube.

Connect the straps to an approved lifting device.

Raise the hopper drive tube assembly and move to the
assembly area.

Install bushings (Item 1)

on the four studs

on the top of the drive section.

Lower the hopper head until the flange (Item 2)

is inside the bushings and resting on top of the drive

section.

Install four retaining washers (Item 1) onto the four studs
and over the hopper head flange. Install four 1/2” lock
nuts (Item 2)

. Tighten the lock nuts until

they contact the retaining washers.

of the upper gearbox.

Install the internal power shaft upper u-joint (Item 2)

the drive section.

Align mounting holes of top shaft of the lower gearbox
and internal power shaft u-joint. Install one 3/8” x 3” bolt
(Item 3)

through the u-joint and lower

gearbox shaft. Install one 3/8” lock nut onto the bolt and
tighten against the u-joint.

Tighten set screw (Item 4)

against the key.

Install and secure all shields on the drive section.
