Lowering The Auger
Disconnect the PTO driveline from the tractor. (See
“Connecting The PTO Driveline” on page 77.)
Connect hydraulic hoses. (See “Connecting /
Disconnecting Hydraulic Lines” on page 82.)
Raise the hopper. (See “Lowering And Raising The
Hopper” on page 85.)
Enter the tractor, start the engine and release the parking
brake.
Engage the tractor hydraulics.
NOTE: Verify that the discharge spout will clear the
top of the bin (raise auger if needed).
Move the auger and tractor away from the bin until there
is adequate space to fully lower the auger.
Engage the tractor’s parking brake, stop the engine and
exit the tractor.
ELECTROCUTION HAZARD
To prevent serious injury or death from
electrocution:
•
Be aware of overhead power lines.
•
Keep away from power lines when transporting
or lowering the auger.
•
Electrocution can occur without direct contact.
Always disconnect the winch hydraulic lines from
the tractor after raising or lowering the auger.
Accidental movement of the tractor hydraulic
control valve may cause personal injury and / or
equipment damage.
AVOID PERSONAL INJURY AND / OR
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Disconnect The IID (PTO) from the tractor. Failure to
follow this step EVERY time BEFORE maneuvering
OR changing the auger elevation may cause
damage to the tractor and / or auger IID.
•
Do not operate the unit before reading and
understanding the Operator’s Manual.
•
Keep all safety devices in place.
•
Keep off the equipment at all times.
•
Keep hands, feet and clothing away from moving
parts while in operation.
•
Make certain everyone is clear of the equipment
before applying power or moving the machine.
•
Do not adjust, service, lubricate, clean, unclog
or move the mechanism until all power is shut
off.
•
While in operation, always support the
discharge end or provide adequate anchorage of
the intake end to prevent sudden tipping.
•
Disconnect power of electrical driven units
before resetting motor over loads.
•
To avoid tipping, make sure auger is empty
before attempting to move.
•
Keep wheels of undercarriage level and on firm
ground.
•
Lower unit to the recommended transport
position before transporting.
