7.3.3 Threat Detection
The virus outbreak and spam threat detection can be configured in
F-Secure Content Scanner Server / Settings / Threat Detection Engine .
VOD Cache Size Specify the maximum number of patterns to
cache for the virus outbreak detection service.
By default, the cache size is 10000 cached
patterns.
Class Cache Size Specify the maximum number of patterns to
cache for spam detection service. By default, the
cache size is 10000 cached patterns.
Increasing cache sizes may increase the threat
detection performance but it requires more disk
space and may degrade the threat detection
rate. Cache sizes can be disabled (set the size
to 0) for troubleshooting purposes.
Action on Connection
Failure Specify the action for messages when the threat
detection center cannot be contacted and the
threat detection engine cannot classify the
message.
Pass through - The message is passed through
without scanning it for spam.
