power generation stops, proceed as follows:
f
Turn off any connected electric devices and stop
the engine.
f
Reduce the total wattage of connected electric
devices within the rated output.
f
Check for blockages in the cooling air inlet and
around the control unit. If any blockages are
found, remove them.
f
After checking, restart the engine.
NOTE
The overload indicator light may come on for a few
seconds at first when using electric devices that re
-
quire a large starting current, such as a compressor
or a submergible pump. However, this is not a mal
-
function.
Thermal switches
The switch pops out automatically when electric
device being connected to the generator is oper-
ating and current above the rated flows, stopping
power generation in order to protect the genera-
tor and any connected electric devices.
When the thermal switch is engaged and power
generation stops, proceed as follows:
f
Turn off any connected electric devices and stop
the engine.
f
Reduce the total wattage of connected electric
devices within the rated output.
f
Check for blockages in the cooling air inlet and
around the control unit. If any blockages are
found, remove them.
f
Push the thermal switch back into position.
f
After checking, restart the engine.
WARNING
If the thermal protection engages again, stop using
the device immediately and consult our company au-
thorized dealer.
Engine smart control (ESC)
f
ON: When the ESC switch is turned to “ON”,
the economy control unit controls the engine
speed, according to the connected load. As a re-
sult of that, the fuel consumption and the noise
are lower. Use this function only when the load
applied to the generator is half it's rated output
power or lower.
f
OFF: When the ESC switch is turned to “OFF”,
the engine runs at the rated rpm, regardless a
load is connected or not.
WARNING
The ESC must be turned to “OFF” when using electric
devices that require large starting current, such as
a compressor of a submergible pump, or when the
load applied to the generator is larger that half its
rated power output.
Ground terminal
Ground terminal connects the earth line for
prevention of electric shock. When the electric
device is earthed, always the generator must be
earthed. In order to prevent electric shock due
to shoddy electrical appliances or wrong use of
electricity, the generator must be grounded with
a good quality insulated conductor.
To stop the machine:
f
Turn off and unplug all electrical loads.
WARNING
Never start or stop the generator with electrical de-
vices plugged in or turned on.
f
Let the generator run at no-load for several min-
utes, to stabilize internal temperatures of the
engine and the generator.
f
Turn the main switch to “OFF” position. Ignition
circuit is switched on. Fuel is switched OFF.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING
Never do maintenance or cleaning with the unit run-
ning. Always work on a cool unit. Before cleaning or
doing maintenance work, disconnect the spark plug
cap and read the relevant instructions. Always wear
proper clothing and protective gloves whenever
your hands are at risk.
Any adjustments or maintenance operations not
described in this manual must be carried out by
your Dealer or a specialized Service Centre with
the necessary knowledge and equipment to en
-
sure that the work is done correctly maintaining
the machine’s original safety level. Any operations
performed in unauthorized centers or by unqual-
ified persons will totally invalidate the Warranty
and all obligations and responsibilities of the
Manufacturer.
Keep all nuts and screws tight to be sure the ma
-
chine is always in safe working condition. Routine
maintenance is essential for safety and for main-
taining a high-performance level.
WARNING
Never use the machine with worn or damaged parts.
Faulty or worn-out parts must always be replaced
and not repaired. Only use original spare parts.
