Operating instructions
What the combination ladder is
Your combination ladder is a telescopic ladder
with two practical basic functions: Use it as a
freestanding ladder step (1) or as a single ladder
(2) for mounting on a wall. In case it is used as
a freestanding ladder step, you can take off or
use the leg support or the grab handle as an
option or not.
How to use, maintain, hold
You want to enjoy your combination ladder for a
long time. No problem: just follow this instruction
guide!
1. The combination ladder as free ladder step
What is very important for your safety
When used as a free-standing ladder: Always
completely remove the head. Start at the top
step (1.1) Please note: As soon as you have
pulled out the ladder, it locks in automatically. Do
not get on top of the ladder (and do not sit or lean
on it) until it's completely taken off.
The latches: always check that the red latches
under the steps are fully extended.
How to take off the combination ladder:
Remove the carrying handle
Place the ladder on a dry, level surface. Take off
the ladder and this do the following:
→
Hold the ladder sides together.
→
Hold the two bottom ladder glazing bars with
one foot down.
How to use it as a ladder step with leg
support/grab handle (A.1 / A.2)
Hold the ladder at the top. Pull out the top glazing
bars segment completely. Then, one after the
other, remove the individual glazing bar segments
until the ladder is completely pulled out.
Important: The locking bolts must now be
completely dropped.
How to remove it as a ladder step/leg support or
grab handle is not required (B.1 / B.2)
This is done somewhat differently: you
grab the outer plastic rings on the side
of the ladder and directly below the leg
support/handle and start from here to take
off the ladder. Then both sides pull out
completely and again make sure that the
locking bolt completely fallen down at the
end. Quietly shake something for checking
purpose.
Unfolding (C):
Fold both ladder legs apart.
Important: The belt must be completely
stretched.
For your information: If this is the case, the
installation angle is 70 degrees.
Now it is checked (D):
Are all drawn out
glazing bars segments also locked? Are all
locking bolts completely unfolded? Attention:
at the lowest levels you cannot see the bars
from above. Ascertain yourself
Important to know: If you use the ladder
without the leg support / grab handle, the
upper locking bolts on the glazing bars
segments, which were not pulled out, do not
fold out too.
Tip:
If not all glazing bar segments are
completely locked into the locking position,
shake the ladder a bit. If everything is stuck,
you can start - so up on the ladder!
2. How do you use it as a ladder or change
accordingly
a)
Proceed as stipulated under 1. (The
combination ladder as freestanding step ladder)
b)
Now unlock the glazing bars segments on
the rear side of the ladder. To do so, press
the locking bolts successively. (E)
c)
Now the ladder is tilted forward. As a result,
you can now push together the bottom glazing
bars segment and tighten the belt around the
two glazing bars of the ladder - thus they are
kept together.
d) Now it's checked:
Are all glazing bars
segments locked to the front of the ladder? And:
all front adjustment is completely folded out? (F)
e) Do not be surprised:
Once you use it as a
ladder, hang down the back, pushed together
