NAV SD 511 Scaling Decoder • Installation

NOTES

:

 

• 

Ensure that you use the proper fiber cable for the NAV 1G port. Typically, 
singlemode fiber has a yellow jacket and multimode cable has an orange or 
aqua jacket.

• 

The LEDs for the fiber port indicates as follows:

• 

Act (amber) LED

 — Transmission of data packets on the fiber connector. 

This LED blinks as the decoder communicates.

• 

Link (green) LED

 — The decoder is properly connected to a LAN. This 

LED lights steadily.

HDMI output port

 on page 6) — Connect an HDMI cable

between this port and an HDMI display (see 

LockIt Lacing Brackets

page 9 to use the LockIt HDMI Cable Lacing Bracket to secure the

— This 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector

outputs the streamed, unamplified, line level analog audio. Connect an 
audio device, such as an audio amplifier or powered speakers (see

Control (RS-232/IR port)

 — Connect a serial RS-232 signal, a

 cable from a USB host or a USB 

5V/500 mA

  This connector is limited to supplying 500 mA in USB device mode.

Extension port

 — If desired, connect another networked device to this

port. The port acts as a networked switch to the NAV 1G port (
