on page 39) — See “IGMP Querier pane.”
— Indicates how much encoder memory is used expressed in
percent.
— Indicates the amount of LAN data transport capacity is used.
The encoder generates an alarm if the utilization goes above 90%. The alarm clears
automatically once the level drops below 90%.
NOTE:
The encoder normally uses far more Tx than Rx bandwidth.
— Displays the connectivity and power status of the remote DTP
transmitter connected to this encoder (see “DTP Status pane,” below).

IGMP Querier pane
IGMP querier is a network service, usually running on a network switch, that can initiate
IGMP queries. An IGMP querier should be configured on the NAV network. It manages the
multicast traffic. If there is no IGMP querier on the network, there is no effective multicast
traffic management and the multicast traffic saturates the network and stream and
communication errors can occur.
The
IGMP
Querier
) shows whether or not an IGMP querying device
is present on the network, and the IP address of the IGMP querier. Figure 37 shows the
normal indication and the indication if no IGMP querier is present on the network.

DTP Status pane
The
DTP
Status
pane (see
) shows the status of DTP power and the link to the
DTP endpoint, and the video signal to the DTP endpoint.
Figure 38 shows the normal indication of the pane.

Power can be reported as either
DTP
(the encoder is providing remote power to the
DTP
transmitter) or
Off
(remote power is off) for each indication (see
page 22 to toggle power on and off).
