The
Configuration
tab includes pages that show the current system settings, scaler
settings, passwords and firmware upgrade data for the DVS 304 Series.
System Settings page
The
Systems Settings
page consists of fields where you can view and edit IP
administration and system settings. Date and time information can be easily updated.

IP settings fields
The IP settings fields provide a location for viewing and editing settings unique to the
Ethernet interface. After editing any of the settings on this page, click
Submit
.
Explanations for some of these fields follow.
Unit Name
This name field can be changed to any valid name, up to 12 alphanumeric characters.
NOTE:
The following characters are invalid in the name: {space} ~ @ = ‘ [ ] { } <
> ’ “ ; : | \ and ?.
DHCP
The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is an Internet protocol for automating
the configuration of computers that use TCP/IP. DHCP can be used to automatically
assign IP addresses, deliver TCP/IP stack configuration parameters such as the subnet
mask and default router, and provide other configuration information such as the
addresses for printer, time, and news servers. For specific settings information, see your
system administrator.
