Programming Instructions for the
ExcelTek™
Remote Model RM-11
Please read the instructions thoroughly
BEFORE
you begin the installation process. This garage door opener can control up to 2 devices
of most major brands including Chamberlain, Craftsman, Liftmaster, Genie, Linear and Wayne Dalton. For more details about
compatibility please refer to the brand table chart on the back of this page.
If you are experiencing any issues or if you are unsuccessful in programming your
ExcelTek™
universal remote after a few tries, please
kindly contact us through Amazon Message and we will provide additional troubleshooting steps to solve your problem. Simply go to
your order page and after click on the hyperlink Sold By:

. There you’ll find a button on the upper right
of your
screen “Ask a
question”.

Programming for devices featuring a Learn (Smart) Button.
1.
Start with the garage door in a closed position. Use your thumb to slide open the remote front panel.
2.
Press and hold down the program button until the LED light turns blue (about 2 seconds). This turns on the programming
mode.
3.
Locate the Learn (Smart) Button on the back or on the side panel of the garage door opener. Press and release it.
4.
Choose what remote control button you want to program and press and release it. The LED light will flash. When the LED
light stop flashing, press and release the button again. Continue to press and release up to 18 times until the garage door
opener responds by doing one of the following:
a.
Making a clicking sound
b.
Blinking lights
c.
Opening or closing door
d.
Beep is heard
5.
Once you have a response from your garage door opener, save the programming by clicking the program button on your
ExcelTek
™
remote. This turns off the programming mode.
6.
You’re now
done, and you should be able to open and close your garage door. If your garage door does not activate repeat
the programming steps.
