In a last step, update the cylinder using your smartphone or coding station to transfer 
the most recent data to the AirKey online administration.  

>

 

Check the cylinder operates correctly before you once again close the door by at-
tempting to unlock it.  

 

 

On the basis of physical battery properties, you must replace batteries at an 
earlier stage and actively monitor the battery states in low temperatures 
(below -10°C) over a prolonged period of time. 

 
 

Do not use rechargeable batteries in AirKey locking components. 

 
 

Check locking components' battery status within the AirKey app with acti-
vated maintenance mode by updating the locking component and then 
viewing the component details. 

 
In the event that you are unable to replace batteries in due time, there is the option to 
open the locking component using the optionally available emergency power device.  
Please refer to the 

Emergency power device

 section for a more detailed description.  

 

 

After having operated a locking component using an emergency power de-
vice, replace the batteries before once again closing the door. 
 

 

After use, once again carefully close the connector cover (EVVA logo) to 
continue to protect the connector from penetrating dust and humidity. For 
this purpose, do not use pointed objects to prevent damage. 
 

8.8

 

Repair options 

Locking components' repair options allow to react to locking component faults. There is 
the option to add replacement components to the system or remove faulty components 
from the system without replacing them. 
 

8.8.1

 

Installing replacement components 

Installing replacement components to replace existing, defective locking components with 
locking components in factory state. As a result, all properties and authorisations for this 
locking component within the AirKey locking system are maintained. After this process, 
the replacement component is no longer in factory state.
