Operating the pump
□ Set the pump (A) on a solid foundation (hard floor,
board, paver, or other hard surface) to prevent it
from tipping over. Make sure the hose is as
straight as possible.
NOTE
: Place the pump in the lowest spot of where
the water is collected, and make sure water slopes
to the pump. If the pump is higher than other areas
of water, the pump will not move the water. You can
also move water to the pump with a push broom or
large squeegee.
NOTE
: Do not coil or kink the hose.
□ Plug the pump (A) into a GFCI outlet.
□ When there is at least 1-1/2 in. of water around
the pump, the float switch will be raised, turning
the pump on.
□ When water is pumped down to approximately 1/8
in., the pump will run for an additional 30-60
seconds and then shut off. Any remaining water
can be removed with sponges, wet/dry vacuums,
mops, etc.
□ The pump will turn on again when water rises to
1-1/2 in.
WARNING
: Do not allow the plug to fall in the water
and do not stand in the water or on a damp surface
while the pump is plugged in. Do not handle the
plugged-in pump with wet hands.
NOTE
: The float switch is located in the cage on
the side of the pump. Keep this cage clean so the
float switch can operate properly.
