Troubleshooting
This chapter will present solutions for technical problems in the
device. If these do not solve the problem, please contact the
EUROIMMUN AG Technical Customer Support.
9.1 Switching on the device
Effect
Cause and troubleshooting
Device can’t be switched on.
Interrupted power supply
•
Check whether the device and the mains adapter are properly
connected.
•
Check the integrity of the associated cables.
•
Check whether the power outlet is working.
Defective assemblies
•
Contact EUROIMMUN AG Technical Customer Support.

9.2 Liquid system
Effect
Cause and troubleshooting
There are many air bubbles or
foam forming on the wash
columns of the wash basin.
Air in the liquid system
Air in the liquid system can be introduced by way of air in the wash buffer, for
example.
•
Check that the hoses of the containers are not kinked or pinched.
•
Rinse and fill the liquid system with distilled water by turning off the
device.
•
Turn the device on again to rinse with wash buffer.
If necessary, repeat the rinsing process with distilled water and wash buffer.
Note:
Air bubbles in the liquid system can’t be completely avoided. Excessive air
bubbles can influence the wash result and thus the incubation. On the
substrate fields of the slides, this is shown by circular areas without
fluorescence. This is only admissible if less than 10% of the substrate area is
affected.
