f) Manual Reception Attempt

•  In order to register sensors manually for the weather station, press the

SENSOR

 button (12).

A manual attempt at receiving a signal starts. All the channels displayed in the

LCD display (1) receive 1 to 3 plus one of 5 to 8. If the indoor values are displayed in the

bottom line, attempts at receiving a signal only start for the first 3 channels. You must then

press the

C

button (2) to select further channels, each individually, and press the

SENSOR

button (12) again to carry out another attempt at receiving a signal.

•  Manual attempts at receiving a signal are necessary if the outdoor sensor fails to transmit

a radio signal even after 48 hours and the "Er" indicator in the LCD display (1) remains

illuminated. You should change the batteries in all sensors displaying "Er". Refer to the

“Setup" section, “a) Inserting/changing the batteries in an outdoor sensor".

•  Register the corresponding sensor/s manually by pressing the

 RESET button

 (13).

If you want to reset the channel of a sensor, change the channel setting on the slide

switch

 ON/OFF

(9). When the weather station is ready to receive, press the

RESET button

 (D) on the sensor, to send out a sensor signal immediately without

having to wait. Or you can temporarily remove the battery. Refer to the “Setup"

section, “a) Inserting/changing the batteries in an outdoor sensor". The transmitter

LED (F) on the sensor lights up when a radio signal is given.

Operation

a) Selecting the temperature unit

•  Press the

°C/°F

button (11) briefly to change the temperature unit (°C or °F) on the weather

station. Pressing the button again switches back to the original unit.

b) Switching the backlight on and off

•  In normal mode, press the

LIGHT

button (14) briefly, to turn on the backlight for 5 seconds.

•  Each time you press any button on the weather station, the on-time of the backlight is

extended for a further 5 seconds.

c) Enable/Disable the night light mode.

This weather station has a night light function. A light-sensitive sensor detects poor and dark

light conditions. If it is too dark, the backlight switches on as a night light. The night light has

a weaker light output than the normally switched on backlight. The night light function can be

switched on or off.
•  Move the

ON/OFF

 slide switch (9) to the

ON

position, to activate the automatic night light.

•  Slide the

 ON/OFF

 slide switch (9) to the

 OFF

position to deactivate the automatic night light.

d) Temperature and air humidity calibration

•  In normal mode, press and hold the

TUNE

 (8) button for 2 seconds to switch to calibration

mode. The current outdoor sensor channel display or the indoor display

 IN

 will flash. The

temperature is set first.

•  Press the

C

 button (2) or the

 - MEM

button (4) to select the channel number or

the indoor display.

•  Press the

 MODE ALERT

button (3), to switch on display of the temperature display values.

•  Press the

 C

 button (2) or the

- MEM

button (4), to set the first calibration value

(the temperature). The

 C

button (2) increases a value and the

 - MEM

 button (4)

decreases a value.

•  If  you  briefly  press  the

 C

 button (2) or the

- MEM

 button (4), the temperature

increases or decreases in tenths, 0.1 °C or °F. Pressing and holding means that the device

scrolls through the settings more quickly.

You will need the reference value from another, precise measurement, e.g. a

calibrated analogue thermometer at the same measuring point.

•  Press the

 MODE ALERT

button (3), to switch from temperature values to air humidity values.

•  Press the

 C

 button (2) or the

- MEM

button (4), to set second calibration value (air

humidity). The

 C

button (2) increases a value and the

 - MEM

 button (4) decreases

a value.

•  If you briefly press the

 C

 button (2) or the

 - MEM

 button (4), the air humidity

increases or decreases in hundredths, 1 %. Pressing and holding means that the device

scrolls through the settings more quickly.

•  Press the

 MODE ALERT

button (3) a third time to confirm your calibrated values. By pressing

again, you can repeat the calibration.

•  Repeat the calibration procedure for further channels.
•  To do this, press the

 C

 button (2) or the

 - MEM

button (4) to select the display

repeat the configuration steps described above.

•  When calibration of all channels is completed, press and hold the

 TUNE

 button (8) for 2

seconds in order to return to normal mode. Alternatively, do not press any buttons on the

weather station for a period of 60 seconds. It will then switch back to normal mode by itself.

•  To reset a calibration, press and hold the

 MODE ALERT

button (3) for two seconds. Values

will return to their uncalibrated state.

You need to set the values for temperature and air humidity individually for each

outdoor sensor (channel). For this, select the calibration mode of each channel and

follow the same procedure described above.

•  If you switch back to calibration mode, all your previously calibrated values are reset to the

factory settings.

Display and Functions

a) Measured values outside of the measurement range

•  If an actual measured value for temperature is outside the measurement range, the following

will be displayed:

Temperature under - 40 °C

Temperature over 70 °C

Air humidity below 1 %

Air humidity above 99 %

b)  Comfort level indicator

•  The  comfort  indicator  symbolically  displays  the  comfort  level  under  specific  weather

conditions as a smiley (see "c) Symbol on the LCD display").

•  The comfort indicator is determined by taking account of temperature and air humidity values.

It is therefore possible that, depending on air humidity, different comfort values can arise even

where the temperature is consistent.

•  The comfort indicator uses the values of the calibration setting, to display the comfort

symbols. Keep this in mind when you are performing a calibration. Here, please refer to the

"Operation” section, section "d) Temperature and air humidity calibration".

The comfort indicator will not function for values below 0 °C and above 60 °C.

c) Trend display for temperature and air humidity

•  The trend display indicates the trend for changes in temperature and humidity for the next

few minutes.

•  The arrow symbols indicate anticipated rising, consistent or falling values.
•  The arrow pointing upwards = rising, the arrow horizontal = consistent, the arrow pointing

downwards = falling (see "c) symbols on the LCD display").

d) Cold alarm

If the outdoor temperature on an outdoor sensor falls to 3 °C or below, the symbol  will be

indicated in the corresponding line of the LCD display (1).

e) Display of max/min values for temperature and air humidity

•  The weather station records the measured maximum or minimum values for temperature and

air humidity since the last reset.

•  In normal mode, press the

 MEM

button (4) to display the maximum values in the

LCD display (1) of the weather station. The

 MAX

 symbols appear.

•  Press the

 - MEM

button (4) a second time to display the minimum values in the LCD display (1)

of the weather station. The

 MIN

 symbols appear.

•  Press the

- MEM

button (4) a third time to return to normal display mode.

•  If you do not press any buttons for 5 seconds, the weather station display automatically

returns to normal mode.

confirms deletion.
