narrow, to move the coil boundaries somewhat into the room with the cables crossing the ceiling and floor.
Specification and installation of system magnetic field compensating coils and guidelines for estimating geometric
limits are presented in
Section 5.1.3, Compensation Coil Installation
.
3.3 SYSTEM CONTROLS, CONNECTORS AND INDICATORS
3.3.1 Controller Front Panel
The MACS/D MXA controller front panel and display, accessible by site operators and users, consists of
illuminated RESET and DISABLE pushbuttons, three status indicator LED’s, and a display screen. Information
available on the system controller’s front panel is also accessible remotely through the system web user interface
(UI), which is discussed in further detail in
Section 4
.
(1) Display screen
– Displays, for each of 3 orthogonal axes, the compensated magnetic field in the room during
normal operation. Also displays various error conditions including “trip-off” conditions caused by excessively
strong ambient magnetic fields and/or possible system failure.
(1a)
Axial Level Records
– Scrolling display shows 60 seconds of measured magnetic field history at
probe location in Operational Volume (OV). These traces give peak absolute magnitudes of the probe
measured fields with respect to the acquired baseline. Refer to
Section 4.2
for further details.
(1b) System Status
– See
Section 6
for detailed descriptions of the MXA controller’s
operational states.
