Not able to control Axon HD or Axon HD Pro via ArtNet

Symptoms/Issue

Axon HD / Axon HD Pro does not respond to ArtNet.

Description/Explanation of Issue

The issue might occur due to the following reasons

• Starting channel for the output does not correlate to what is patched

• The Axon HD / Axon HD Pro's output source is set to DMX

• The ArtNet Subnet and Universe in the console does not match what the console is outputting

• The IP address settings on the console are wrong

Fix/Solution

1.

Check and make sure the server can output to the display

a. Open the CMA and navigate to the media server that is having the issue

b. Navigate to "Display Connections"

c. On the output that is being used, click on the drop-down menu for "video self-test"

d. Choose "1"

e. Click "Apply"

If a video appears on the display, continue to the next steps.
If a video does not appear on the display, try rebooting the Axon. After the reboot, try the video self-test
again. If it still does not work, contact HES support.

Make sure the source for the output is set to ArtNet

a. Open the CMA and navigate to the media server that is having the issue

b. Navigate to "Server"

c. Change the "Source" to Art-Net

d. Try to bring media up on the Axon from the console, if it does not work, continue to the next step.

3.

Make sure the starting channel for the output is the same as the address patched to on the console

a. Open the CMA and navigate to the media server that is having the issue
