4.1 Overcool Protector (ES-OC1)
4.1.1 Purpose
Prevents abnormal temperature drops in the test chamber.
4.1.2 Operation
The overcool protector is located on the instrumentation panel. Turn the dials to the desired temperature.
The set temperature should be the minimum allowable temperature of the specimen. To prevent over-
sensitive operations, the setting should be 10°C below the set value of the temperature (& humidity)
controller. When the overcool protector is activated, operation stops and the controller indicates an
overcool fault.
4.1.3 Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Confirm that the overcool protector is working prior to starting each test.
4.1.4 Specifications
Temperature setting is in degrees Celsius.
