This Q uick Star t Guide provides basic guidelines f or mechanical and
electr ical installation of the IPES F lame Det ector in pr eparation f or produc t
startup . For detailed t esting, tr oubleshooting and operation instruc tions,
ref er to the IPES Oper ating M anual for y our model.

Prior t o startup of the IPES F lame Det ector , review tha t the follo wing have
been complet ed:
Pre S tartup Check list:
1. Ver ify that the IPES F lame Det ector has been pr operly moun ted .
2. Ver ify that all c onduit/cable gland entr ies have been tigh tened and
sealed, if nec essary
3. Ver ify that all det ector wir ing has been installed cor rec tly.
4. Ver ify that the det ector is pr operly ear th grounded .
5. Ver ify that the det ector r ear cov er is securely fast ened.
6. Disconnec t or pow er down all output devic es and alarms t o prev ent false
actua tion.
