Disc type
This shows the type of disc that is currently loaded.
SACD: Super Audio CD
CD: Audio CD

Information
During Super Audio CD playback
No indicator:
The two-channel area of a Super Audio CD is selected.
MULTI D-MIX:
This appears when the multichannel audio of a Super Audio
CD is being downmixed and output.
DSD DIRECT:
This appears when the two-channel area of a Super Audio CD
is selected and the DSDF (DSD filter) setting is OFF.
During CD playback and COAX, OPT or USB input
No indicator:
The upconversion function is not in use.
DSD DIRECT:
If DSDF (DSD filter) is set to OFF, this appears when a DSD
signal is input.
UPCONV:
The upconverter circuit will upconvert the signal before digi-
tal to analog conversion.

The upconversion multiple is shown to the right of UPCONV
(page 25).
UPCONV DSD:
The upconverter circuit will convert the PCM signal to a DSD
signal before digital to analog conversion.

Repeat indicator
This appears during repeat playback (page 19).

Clock mode
This shows the clock mode (page 25).
No indicator: CLK set to OFF
CLK: CLK set to SYNC
MCK: CLK set to MCK

Input clock frequency
The clock synchronization signal frequency input through the
CLOCK IN connector is abbreviated when shown.
For example, a 44.1kHz frequency is shown as “44”.

Analog output setting
This shows the analog output (AOUT) setting (ESLA, XLR2, XLR3
or RCA).
Nothing appears when set to OFF.

Message display area
The playback time and various messages appear here.
