3. Hardware Installation

To put the ECX-EC into operation, please follow the installation notes.

Read the safety instructions at the beginning of this document carefully,
before you start with the hardware installation!

WARNING

Hazardous voltage -

Risk of electric shock

All current circuits which are connected to the device have to be sufficiently
protected against hazardous voltage (SELV according to EN 60950-1) before
you start with the installation.

Mount the ECX-EC module and connect the interfaces (power supply voltage,
EtherCAT A and B).

If you use the InRailBus, please make sure to have read the chapter:
“Appendix InRailBus (Option)”.

Switch on the 24 V-power supply voltage of the ECX-EC.
