Chapter 7: Post-Election Day Tasks

On the Shutdown Scanner
screen, press

Shutdown

to shut

down the scanner, or press

Cancel

to leave the scanner

running.

If you press

Shutdown

, a

message will display to let you
know when it is safe to turn off
the machine. When the
message is displayed, flip the
power switch to the off
position. The power switch is
located on the left side of the
machine.

Turn Off the UPS

After you have shut down and powered off the scanner, press the power switch on the
UPS to turn it off.

Perform Scanner Maintenance

After the Election Day tasks have been completed, perform the following maintenance
tasks to keep your DS850 scanner in proper working order:


