2 Description
2.1 Machine Overview
The Crossbow is a Portable CNC Cutting Machine. It supports a single cutting torch only, but can be
equipped with an oxy-fuel torch, a plasma torch, or both. If equipped with both plasma and oxy-fuel, the
torches must be manually swapped in the torch holder. The machine is compact and light weight, so
that it can easily be carried by two people and moved to a job site. It can be used both indoors and
outdoors.
The Crossbow can be used in a wide variety of applications, from small fab shops to giant shipyards.
The portable nature of the machine allows it to be moved to where the cutting is needed, rather than
bringing the steel plates to a fixed cutting machine. It can improve cut quality and productivity in areas
where shape cuts are needed and would otherwise be done by hand or with simple mechanized
devices.
The Crossbow CNC is simple and easy to learn. It can be manually programmed, it can generate its own
program from a library of common shapes, or programs can be loaded through a USB port from an off-line
programming software.
