Operating instructions
6.3.8 Standby-Time
The standby period is the time from the last work with the soldering tool to the point
when the standby temperature is activated. The setting range is between 0 sec-
onds and 60 minutes. The input [0] deactivates the standby function.
For small soldering points or soldering works which are performed
with very little motion, a sufficiently high standby-time should be se
-
lected. Otherwise the standby-function may lower the temperature
already during the soldering process!
As a measure to save energy and to prolong the lifetime of soldering
tip and heater you can automatically trigger an idle state for the sol-
dering tool. Please read section 6.4.6.
6.3.9 Standby-Temperature
This is the soldering tip temperature during work breaks. It is automatically activated
when the standby-time has elapsed. When the temperature is decreased, power is
saved and the service life of tip and heating element is increased.
Reheating to standby temperature is accomplished either by moving
the i-Tool or by pressing / turning on the i-OP.
