MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Keys for identification of error messages on DBC 211 01, DBC 212 01 and DBC 213 01
On DBY 409 01, the top LED flashes if a fault is found in the RAM test.
2.2.2
Local key and tone ringer test
The keys are tested by pressing them one at a time. Each keystroke should result in the
generation of a tone signal; this applies to DBY 409 01 as well.
“Off hook” and “On hook” will also result in the generation of a tone signal.
The volume of the tone ringer can be changed by pressing the volume keys marked
’+' and '-'. The levels will be the same after exit from the Local test mode.
2.2.3
Local speech and transmission test
Handset function:
Off hook activates handset mode. The microphone signal in the handset is sent via COMBO and
is looped back in DASL to the handset receiver. The transmission is tested by blowing into the
handset microphone and listening through the handset receiver. The "blow" sound shall now be
heard in the receiver.
Loudspeaker function:
The test is activated by pressing the key marked with a loudspeaker symbol. Then its function is
tested by blowing into the handset microphone and listening in the loudspeaker. The "blow"
sound shall now be heard in the receiver.
Handsfree microphone:
After the loudspeaker has been tested, the microphone for the loudspeaking function can be
tested by keeping the hook pressed. Sound from the microphone should then be heard in the
handset receiver.
