DURATION OF USE
Duration of use: 5 years.
Product wearing duration: 8 hours/day.
The design, manufacture and intended product use instructions have been determined on the basis of the expected
service life. This includes using the product in accordance with its intended use and maintenance instructions.
7.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
•
Do not use the HAPO without checking if the mechanism is activated. If so, you will hear an audible click. If not,
the mechanism is probably not switched on:
risk of sudden loss of assistance.
•
Do not entrust the HAPO to unqualified staff. The different works including the HAPO must be done by qualified
staff for your safety, as stated in section 4.3 and described in this document.
•
Do not use the HAPO without locking both springs. Locking one of the two would lead to a misuse which could
provoke unbalance or even fall.
•
Do not bend the spring rods by hand, it could lead to an excessive angulation that exceeds the material limits.
There is a risk of breakage.
•
Do not pass on the HAPO after use without washing it first. It is necessary to ensure that the HAPO is cleaned at
regular intervals in case of reuse by other people. This will prevent contamination by germs, skin irritation or
eczema.
•
Do not hold the HAPO near flames, embers or other sources of heat that could damage or injure the user.
•
Do not leave the HAPO as it is. Clean the product immediately if it has come into contact with salty, chlorinated
water and abrasive substances (such as sand).
•
Do not use the product by more than one particular user, in particular:

Transmission to a third party without cleaning it.

Transmission to a third party without check and prepare it.
-
Use by a third party without training or introduction
to the product’s use
by specialised staff.

Use by a third party without adjusting it to the
user’s
specific needs by specialised staff.

Do not use the product to lift a person.
•
Any use which is not described as an intended use in the instruction manual is not considered as intended.
The closures of the chest straps and thigh sleeves contain
magnets that produce magnetic field. The magnets can impair
the function of implanted pacemakers or defibrillators.
Individual protective measures:
Users wearing these devices must keep sufficient distance from
magnets. The recommended distance is 80-100mm. It is
necessary to warn users before they approach the magnets.
