Requirements for Copy Control
If using the PageCounter terminal for copy control, you will need a copier interface cable
for your copier make and model. This cable is available separately.
Have the copier technician connect the cable to the controlled device using instructions
from the device manufacturer. Also have the copier technician change the copier device
settings to use the key counter or vendor interface. These settings disable the copier except
when the PageCounter has an active copying session.
Requirements for Fax Control
If using the PageCounter terminal for fax control, you will need two RJ-11 telephone or fax
cables. The telephone or fax cables are available separately.
You must install and configure the terminal as a fax terminal. For information, see
Configuring the Terminal for Fax Control on page 2 - 9.
Requirements for Scan Control
If using the PageCounter for scan device control, refer to the following section for
supported eCopy or Xerox devices.
You will need a foreign interface cable for your scan device make and model. The cable is
available separately.
To connect to an eCopy scan device, you require eCopy Scan Station version 7.1 or 8.01, or
ShareScan OP version 2.0.
For Xerox ScanPost support, you require PageCounter firmware version 1.1.x or higher.
