Basic operation
Figure below shows the relationship between the pressure and the outputs of the Pump
HP Sensor (position detection: Sensor 1) and Pressure Sensor (Sensor 2) during the
operation of the Pressure Pump.

Applies pressure to the inside of the ink supply passage. Drives the Pressure
Motor while checking the outputs of the Pressure Sensor and Pump HP
Sensor.
When the Pump HP Sensor turns L
→
H by the specified number of
additional pumping actions from the state where both sensors are H, the
motor is stopped by a short brake (Duty = 0) via stop control.
Initial pressurization raises the pressure up to above the threshold value of
the Pressure Sensor to reduce the required number of pumping actions.
If “Cover OPEN” is detected during the driving of the Pressure Motor, the
motor is stopped by a short brake (Duty = 0) immediately, without via the
stop control.
