Confirm that the media is attached without
deformation.
As shown in the identified sections in the
illustration below, if the tensions of the left and
right edges of the media are different, the media
cannot be taken up correctly. If there is slack on
one side, repeat from Step 1.
Note:
As shown in the illustration below, you can confirm
differences in tension by lightly tapping on both
edges of the media.

button to feed the media until the
take up roll core begins to turn.

Important:
The Auto Take-up Reel Unit will not function
if the tensioner is raised.
Take-up with the Printed Side Facing

Attach the media to the take up roll core with
tape.
In the order shown in the illustration, tape the
media to the take up roll core. When attaching in
the center, attach using tape while pulling the
center of the media straight. When attaching on
the left and right, attach using tape while pulling
the media sideways.

Important:
If the media is lifted up between the attached
pieces of tape, the media will not be taken up
correctly. If the media is lifted up, we
recommend either adding tape and attaching
it uniformly or fixing creases at the leading
edge of the media.

Press the
d
button in the control panel to feed
enough media for a single wrap around the roll
core.
