Part/Unit that should be removed before removing Scanner Unit.

Document Cover / Panel Unit / Panel Housing

Removal procedure

Disconnect the following Connector Cables and FFC from the connectors of
Main Board.

• J6: Scanner Motor Connector Cable
• J8: Scanner Carriage FFC

Rotate lower side of Support Band sideways by 90º, and then release Support
Band hook (x1,

) from the notch in Housing Upper.

Lift the Scanner Unit to the position as shown in the figure (approx. 60º), and
while lifting Scanner Motor Connector Cable and Scanner Carriage FFC by
hand, remove Scanner Unit using the steps shown in the figure.

C A U T I O N

The Scanner Carriage FFC is fastened with the double-sided tape, so
be careful not to damage FFC when removing it.
