For LPR, Internet, or Microsoft Network Shared printing:
Double-click
TCP/IP
on the Configuration menu to open the
TCP/IP Properties dialog box. Set the IP address, the subnet
mask, etc. and then click
OK
.
5. Restart the computer.
The necessary components are now installed. Go to the next
chapter “How to Set Up the Print Server” on page 31.
Windows XP
For Windows XP, use the following procedure to install the
necessary components.

The Windows XP CD-ROM may be required during the
installation.

When using TCP/IP or IPP for printing, you need to set the IP
address, the subnet mask, and the default gateway of the computer.
1. Click
Start

Control Panel

Network
and Internet Connections
. Select
Network Connections
.

LAN or High-Speed Internet

Local Area
Connection
icon.
