Film holders

Installing the Film Adapter

Follow the steps below to install the Film Adapter on the scanner.

1. Make sure the scanner is turned off.

2. Remove the document cover from the scanner by opening it

and pulling it straight up. (See “Removing the Cover for Thick
or Large Documents (For Perfection 1640SU/Perfection
1640SU Photo Users)” on page 6-10)

Note for Perfection 1640SU Office users:

Remove the Automatic Document Feeder from the scanner as
described in “Removing the paper path guide” on page 6-5 (steps 1
to 3).
