Pearl Mini User Guide                                     

Pair and unpair Pearl Mini from AV Studio

To enable or disable pairing Pearl Mini with AV Studio:

 1.  Login to the Admin panel as 

admin

, see 

Connect to the Admin panel

. 

 2.  From the Configuration menu, click 

Maintenance

. The Maintenance page opens.

 3.  Uncheck 

Enable AVStudio

 to disable AV Studio remote login or leave it checked to use this feature 

with Pearl Mini, then click 

Save

.

Pair and unpair Pearl Mini from AV Studio

To use the remote login feature, you must pair Pearl Mini to AV Studio. An AV Studio account is needed. You 
can sign up for a free AV Studio account the first time you pair Pearl Mini. For more information, see

Studio to control Pearl Mini

.

You can pair Pearl Mini directly using the Admin panel or you can add Pearl Mini as an encoder manually from 
within AV Studio by entering Pearl Mini's device ID paring code. To add Pearl Mini as an encoder manually in 
AV Studio, go to the 

AV Studio online user guide

.

You can unpair Pearl Mini using either the Admin panel or directly within AV Studio. Each time you unpair Pearl 
Mini, the device ID pairing code changes value. When you pair Pearl Mini again, a new encoder instance is 
created with the new device ID. 

Important considerations

 

l

Pearl Mini's encoder entry in AV Studio  permanently goes offline when you unpair. You must pair Pearl 
Mini again to use AV Studio to remotely login to Pearl Mini.
