Video Capture Application General Preferences

To set preferences, select Preferences from the VGA2USB menu.

Configure General preferences to limit the frame capture rate.

To set KVM preferences, select Preferences from the VGA2USB

menu and then select KVM from the Preferences toolbar.

Configure KVM preferences to enable KVM support and specify

the event that starts KVM operation. See

Chapter 10. “Using the

KVM2Ethernet Device” on page 165

for more information.

Limit

Select Limit frame rate to set a frame rate that is lower

than the maximum frame rate at which the

VGA2Ethernet or KVM2Ethernet device can capture

images. You can reduce the frame rate to reduce the

number of images captured by the device and

displayed on the VGA2Ethernet user interface. You

may want to reduce the frame rate to reduce the load

on the video capture workstation, or to reduce network

usage.
If you limit the capture frame rate, the VGA2Ethernet

user interface records videos at the same rate as the

limited frame rate. The valid frame rate range is from

0.01 to 60 fps.
