Troubleshooting
The SteamAttrac steam generator uses the flashing status light on the front
of the housing to communicate various operating statuses and
malfunctions. The corresponding fault messages or symbols are shown on
the control panel display.

Safety temperature
limiter triggered
repeatedly
Water level too low, capil-
lary tube sensor mounted
incorrectly. Water supply
blocked or pressure is too
low.
Check that the capillary tube
sensor is positioned correctly.
Inspect vaporiser tank for
limescale and clean if neces-
sary. Check the water supply
line. Clean the water filling
valve and check the water
pressure.
Water foaming due to
contamination by oils,
plasticisers and similar
substances. Incorrect
water level detection
which leads to overheat-
ing.
Check the water supply for
possible contamination e.g.
from plasticisers in PVC hoses
and pipes. Clean the vapor-
iser tank thoroughly as
needed. Remove oils with
alcohol.
Steam outlet spits hot
water. Risk of scald-
ing!
Formation of foam
Check the water for contami-
nation from foam-forming
substances.
Steam pipe installed
incorrectly, steam pipe
blocked by condensed
water.
Make sure the steam pipe is
positioned in such a way that
it is not blocked by con-
densed water. If necessary,
install a siphon.
Water level probe fault.
Check the water level probe.
Clean as needed. Check for
malfunctions.
