Calibration
The printer is completely calibrated and tested during fabrication. However, the calibration needs to be carried out
by the printer owner to guarantee the uniformly accurate build results, if:
a) the printed models are not adhering to the build platform, especially in one corner or half of the build
platform;
b) the current material tray is replaced with a new material tray.
9.1
Calibrating the Home Position and Adjusting Parallelism
9.1.1
Automatic Home Position Calibration
NOTICE
The latest material trays contain a serial number located on the front of the material tray.
NOTICE
Recalibrate the Home position of the build platform after each change of the material tray.
The printer, depending on its configuration, can be equipped with the Hall sensors and/or Load cells. The
Load
cells
are used to enable the Dry home position calibration.
The
Hall sensors
are used to detect the presence of the build platform and the material tray on the printer.
If the build platform or the material tray has not been installed, the sensors detect it, therefore the job cannot start
and the corresponding error message appears on the screen.
If the material tray has been replaced, the printer detects it with Hall sensors and the following message appears.
NOTICE
The Automatic Home Position Calibration or Auto Homing is only possible if the printer is equipped
with Load cells, therefore enabling the Dry position calibration.
Prerequisites:
•
The Load Cells have been calibrated.
