1.  If the surround panel is installed, remove it by lifting the panel straight 

up then out.

2.  For the right shroud, twist the handle on the air control clockwise to 

remove it from the rod.

3.  Pull unit forward a few inches, if possible.
4.  Remove the screw, using a

” socket or wrench, that goes down 

through the firebox top into a bent over tab at the top of the shroud 

(see A in Figure 58). 

5.  To remove the shrouds, loosen the two (2) torx T-20 screws that hold 

the shroud to the unit (See B in Figure 58). Pull the shroud forward 

past  the  T-20  screws  (approximately  ¾”  [2cm]),  then  out  to  the 

side.

6.  To install the shroud, follow steps 1 through 5 in reverse order. Ensure 

the shrouds are hooked behind both screws on either side.
