shuts down power to the compactor motor. This functionality replaces the old
mechanical motor protectors. It also soft-starts the compactor motor: it starts with a 0.5 second acceler-
ation, which prolongs the life of the compactor motor.

VFD
’s status display lists messages that may help troubleshoot compactor stalls. For more informa-
tion, See Section 6.3 “VFD Status Messages” on page 6-5.
3.8.3. Compactor 230V Three-Phase Connector
This is the output for the 230
V
three-phase power. The harness that provides power to the compactor
motor plugs into this connector.
3.8.4. 208-240V Single-Phase AC Power Output
This power output goes to the
RVM
Controller Box.
3.8.5. Safety Loop Override
This key switch overrides the door interlock, so that you may run the compactor with the front or rear
cabinet door open. When you are done with service, remove the key from this switch. If untrained peo-
ple have access to this override, they may be seriously injured by moving parts.
