NOTE:
When you power on the unit, if the measured temperature is less than 32
o
C
or 90
o
F, the LCD will display ‘Lo’, if the measured temperature is higher than
42.9
o
C or
109.9oF, the LCD will display ‘Hi’. So,
it is not about the battery
being low.

C CONVERSION:
Temperature readings are available in the Fahrenheit or Celsius scale (
o
F/
o
C;
located in the upper right corner of LCD). With the unit off, press and hold
On/Off Button for approximately 2 seconds to change the current setting.
HOW TO USE:
1.
Wipe or dip thermometer probe with isopropyl rubbing alcohol to
disinfect or you may use probe cover.
2.
Press the ON/OFF button next to LCD display. A very delicate tone
will sound and the screen will show the self-testing display followed
by the last recorded temperature. Your thermometer is now ready
to use.
3.
Position thermometer in desired location (mouth, rectum or
armpit).

ORAL USE
–
Place thermometer under tongue as
indicated by “ , “ position shown in Figure 2. Close your
mouth and breathe evenly through the nose to prevent
the
measurement
from
being
influenced
by
inhaled/exhaled air. Normal temperature between

RECTAL USE
–
Lubricate the silver probe tip with
petroleum jelly for easy insertion or you use a probe
cover. Gently insert sensor approximately 1cm (less than

) into rectum. Normal temperature between 36.2

o
F).
