By pressing the < button the TLM can be disabled, by
pressing the > button it can be enabled again. The
default value is enabled.
The Line Card checks the telephone line periodically.
The line checking period can be set separately when
the telephone line is ready and when the telephone
line is absent or disconnected. This feature enables
the Line Card to check the presence of the telephone
relative rarely if the conditions are normal, but speed
up the line checking when the line fails, so it can
recognize line restoration with a minimum delay.
The first value gives the time period between two
consecutive line checks when the line status is
normal. This can be set at the Card Setup, Check if
OK section of the menu
Checking Period
240 x 250 ms
The time can be adjusted by 250 milliseconds from 0
to 256. The default value is 240 which means 240 x
250 ms = 60 seconds between two line checking
attempts if the line status was found normal before.
The value for line checking period if the line is absent
or disconnected can be set at the Card Setup, Check
if fail section of the menu:

020 x 250 ms
The time can be adjusted by 250 milliseconds from 0
to 40. The default value is 20 which means 20 x 250
ms = 5 seconds between two line checking attempts
if the line was faulty before.
Number of Rings to answer
This value defines that after how many rings will the
Line Card answer the call. This can be set at the
Card Setup, Nr. Of Rings section of the menu

01 (01-08)
The number of rings can be set between 1 and 8, the
default value is 1.
Note:
When using caller identification, the Caller ID
data is sent by the telephone central between the first
and the second ring. Therefore, the number of rings
to answer must be defined 2 or more to receive the
Caller ID correctly.
Caller Identification
The ENIGMA XM88422 implements Caller ID
– Call
Number Display for all Line Cards. This feature
makes possible to identify the calling party on the
telephone line. The Caller ID information is
processed as it is described before in this chapter.
The caller identification option can be enabled and
disabled at the Card Setup, Caller ID section:

(Disable)
The Caller ID function can be disabled by pressing
the < button and can be enabled by pressing the >
button. The default value is disabled.
Note:
The availability of the Caller ID service
depends on the telephone service provider and
requires may not be available in all areas and
countries. Consult the local telephone company for
details.
Note:

Audio Monitoring
The Line Cards provide the possibility to monitor the
communication going on the phone line. There is a
small audio amplifier built-in in every Line Cards
enabling to hear the signals arriving on the phone
line. This option can be set at the Card Setup, Audio
Monitor section of the menu:
Audio Monitoring
(ON)
The Audio Monitor feature can be turned of by
pressing the < key, the Line Card will receive the
calls in silence. It can be turned on with the > key,
then all the communication going on the phone line
will be heard. The default setting is on.
Keep Last Message
This feature can be helpful, if the Line Cards are
operated in stand-alone mode. The last message
arrived on the Line Card will remain displayed on the
LCD screen until another communication will take
place. This feature can be set at the Card Setup,
Keep Display section of the menu
Keep Last Mess.
(Disable)
The function can be disabled with the < button and
enabled with the > button. The default setting is
disabled.
Debug Mode
The Line Cards can be set to debug mode with this
option. In debug mode, fault data received is
