NOTES:
1. IF BOILER DOES NOT HAVE INTERNAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL, AN EXTERNAL AQUASTAT IS REQUIRED AS A
HIGH LIMIT TO AVOID SENDING WATER TOO HOT FOR THE PEX PIPING.
2. INSTALL BOILER AT LEAST 10 FT. FROM CLOSELY SPACED TEES TO HELP AVOID TEMPERATURE MIGRATION.
3. BOILER MUST BE A CONDENSING TYPE. NON-CONDENSING BOILERS SHOULD NOT BE USED.
4. MAX BOILER SUPPLY NOT TO EXCEED 135 DEG F.
5. IF COMBI BOILER IS USED, THE “HOT ” OUTLET AT THE TURBOMAX WATER SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO THE
BOILER DHW “COLD” CONNECTION. THE BOILER DHW “HOT” CONNECTION SUPPLIES DHW TO THE HOME.
IF BOILER IS NOT COMBI TYPE, THESE CONNECTIONS WOULD NOT BE USED. IF BOILER IS NOT COMBI TYPE,
AN ELECTRIC OR GAS WATER HEATER SHOULD BE PIPED IN SERIES WITH THE TURBOMAX TANK, AS SHOWN
IN THE PREVIOUS DRAWING.
6. BOILER MAY HAVE INTERNAL PUMP (EXTERNAL PUMP SHOWN).
7. BOILER MANUFACTURER REQUIREMENTS AND LOCAL CODE REQUIREMENTS SUPERCEDE ANY
RECOMMENDATIONS IN THIS DOCUMENT

Notes:
1.
If boiler does not have internal temperature control, an external aquastat is required as a high limit to avoid sending water too
hot for the pex piping.
2.
Install boiler at least 10 ft. from closely spaced tees to help avoid temperature migration.
3.
Boiler must be a condensing type. Non-condensing boilers should not be used.
4.
Max boiler supply not to exceed 135 deg. F.
5.
If combi boiler is used, the “hot” outlet at the TurboMax water should be connected to the boiler DHW “COLD” connection. The
boiler DHW “HOT” connection supplies DHW to the home. If boiler is not combi type, these connections would not be used.
If boiler is not combi type, an electric or gas water heater should be piped in series with the TurboMax tank, as shown in the
previous drawing.
6.
Boiler may have internal pump (external pump shown).
7.
Boiler manufacturer requirements and local code requirements supercede any recommendations in this document.
