Replacing the diaphragm pump
If the pump is still leaking or does not feed correctly despite all the measures described, you must
replace the pump and send it in for repair.
Removing the pump
1.
Switch the controller off.
2.
Disconnect the filtrate lines from the plug connectors.
3.
Open all the cable ducts and disconnect the plug connector in the upper left cable duct.
4.
Loosen the ground cable of the pump (terminal 26 in the connection box).
5.
Remove the pump cable from the cable ducts so that it is only suspended from the pump.
6.
Hold the pump tight with one hand and, with the other, loosen the (two) Allen screws at the
base of the diaphragm pump. For this purpose, use the 200 mm Allen key with handle
provided.
7.
Take the pump out of the control box.
Installing the new or repaired pump
1.
Insert an Allen screw with washer into the lower slot at the base of the pump (pump head, left).
2.
With one hand, insert the Allen key (200 mm) into the screw and bring the pump into position
in the control box.
3.
Turn the screw with the Allen key and, at the same time, move the pump slightly to and fro
until the screw engages the threaded hole in the carrier plate.
4.
Align the pump in such a way that the screw is approximately in the centre of the slot. Tighten
the screw slightly.
5.
Mount the second screw with washer onto the Allen key. Push it through the upper slot on
the pump base and also tighten it slightly.
6.
Align the pump straight and tighten the screws without overtightening.
7.
Route the pump cable into the cable ducts.
8.
Attach the ground cable to terminal 26 in the connection box.
9.
Connect the pump cable to the plug connector in the upper left cable duct and then close all
cable ducts.
10. Mount the filtrate lines on the plug connector (make sure the connection is correct!).
11. Switch the controller on.
12. Evacuate the pump.
