Commissioning

5.1

Function check

Make sure that Fieldcheck is correctly connected to the measuring device to be simulated

The measuring device must work without any interference so that a simulation or verification can
be started.

5.2

Battery operation / power supply

The Fieldcheck can be powered via:
•  A power adapter
•  A car adapter
•  A storage battery

You know that Fieldcheck is ready for operation when the HOME position appears on the display.

5.2.1

Operation via the power adapter/car adapter

• Connection to power supply via power adapter
• Connection to car battery via car adapter

5.2.2

Operation via storage battery

The battery is charged automatically when the power adapter is connected to the power supply, or
when Fieldcheck is connected to the car battery via the car adapter.
The charging time is less than 4 hours if there is no simulation in progress.
The charging time is considerably longer during a simulation.
The battery is fully charged if "Charge condition battery 90 %" is displayed during startup. The
charge status can also be viewed via USER INTERFACE



When the battery is fully charged it is switched to conservation charging.

5.3

Commissioning

Fieldcheck switches on automatically as soon as one of the connecting cables is plugged in.
Fieldcheck performs a number of self-tests after power-on. As this procedure progresses, diverse
messages which sometimes have to be acknowledged appear on the local display.
