EC-TRIME: a parameter for cement analysis

The EC

TRIME

parameter is displayed on the SONO-DIS. With the innovative TRIME measurement

method, SONO-WZ determines the electrical conductivity (EC

TRIME

) of the concrete using

high-frequency attenuation of the radar pulse, making it possible to assess the cement content
or cement type. The displayed EC

TRIME

parameter can also be interpreted as a preliminary value for

the cement content or cement type during single measurements, providing extra reliability when
monitoring and checking a known type of concrete.
It is advisable for the user to document the particular varieties of concrete that are measured.
This makes it easier to verify the values during later control measurements. In its future research,
the manufacturer will further examine whether and how the EC-TRIME parameter depends on
individual types of cement.

Note: An analysis of the EC-TRIME parameter only makes sense if only a known variety of concrete
is repeatedly checked and controlled.
